Community Outreach

Our own foundation member competed in her third half marathon sporting the Allyson Rioux Memorial Foundation hat! Pictured below Cheryl Tiscia showing off her medal!

Through our many outreach efforts, we continue to look for new and alternative ways to honor the life of Allyson.

Examples of the way we have assisted other families and individuals financially where and when asked of us, include:
  • sponsored the MS Cross Country Meet and matched the pledges made by the middle school participants. Donation was made to Bryce Klingel (son of Bobbi Jo Barhydt a PE teacher at Cloonan MS) suffering from a rare congenital condition.
  • sponsor two teams in the Stamford Youngtimers Basketball League where 2 sportsmanship awards are presented in Allyson’s name.
  • sponsor a team in the Stamford Youth Soccer League.
  • sponsor a team in the Stamford Babe Ruth Softball League.
There is a banner of our foundation on the softball field at Sacred Heart University where Allyson was Head Softball Coach. The university also has an annual Memorial Book Award in her name.
