Carol Gallagher
Carol is a native of Stamford. She was born with two holes in her heart that required open heart surgery, including a blood transfusion, at the age of 5. From that transfusion, Carol contracted Hepatitis C that went undetected for years, until medical symptoms helped doctors identify her disease. By then however, severe liver damage had occurred and Carol is currently on the waiting list for a liver transplant.
